Gardaí in Co Louth have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 30s was seriously injured following a stabbing incident in Drogheda.
According to LMFM, the 32-year-old man was seriously injured after he was apparently stabbed in the neck.
It is understood the attack occurred in the Windmill Road area of the town at approximately 2:30am on Thursday morning.
Gardaí say say the injured man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and his condition is described as serious.
They added that no arrests have yet been made made, but an investigation is currently ongoing.
