Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, and Kerry, ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Oscar on Friday evening.
The warning will kick in at 3pm, and will remain in place until 12pm on Saturday.
The tail end of the storm will hit across coastal areas, bringing gusts of up to 130k/h.
