Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after a security gaurd was injured when he was struck with a wheel brace in Tyrellstown this afternoon.
It is believed the security gaurd was injured when he was attacked two men outside a shop.
Gardai say the security gaurd was attacked when he was carrying a cash box from the premises.
The two men reportedly fled the scene in Skoda car which was later found burnt out at a housing estate.
