Gardaí in Co Kerry have confirmed that they are investigating an alleged child abduction attempt in Co Kerry.
According to Radio Kerry, the investigation comes after a young boy was approached by two men whilst playing at Scartaglin GAA grounds, on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3pm.
It is alleged that two men wearing balaclavas chased the boy after they got out of a car believed to be a Volkswagen Golf.
Although thankfully the boy managed to flee the scene, parents have been warned to be extra vigilant.
Meanwhile Gardaí say they have been made aware of the incident and an investigation is currently ongoing.
