Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a young woman was allegedly raped in her home.
According to The Irish Sun newspaper, the alleged incident occurred at the woman’s home in Blanchardstown, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Sun reports that the woman was attacked by an intruder who then proceeded to rob her home before fleeing the scene.
It is believed that the woman was taken to Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda Hospital for treatment.
