Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 70s was injured during a burglary at his home in Blackrock.
It is understood the man was injured after two people forced their way into a house on the Bull’s Lane, Blackrock Road, on Friday night.
Gardaí say the man sustained minor injuries and a quantity of cash and valuables were taken during the burglary.
