Garda investigation underway after €12,000 worth of equipment is stolen from a rescue boat

Gardai have begun an investigation after €12,000 worth of equipment has been stolen from a rescue boat.

According to RTE News, the investigation comes after an engine and a GPS plotter were taken from an inflatable vessel, belonging to the Corrib Mask Rescue Group.

It is understood that the equipment was stolen from the boat which is kept on the grounds of Ashford Castle.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have any information to come forward and contact them.
