Gardaí in Co Meath have begun an investigation after a teenager was stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
It is understood the youth was stabbed in the Batterstown area near Dunshaughlin at approximately 4am.
Gardaí say the teenager was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where his condition is described as stable.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to cone forward and contact them at Ashbourne Garda Station.
