Image: Kitten Sleeping – Stock Photo Gardai in Co Cavan have begun an investigation after a kitten was cruely squeezed through a letterbox.
The investigation comes after staff at Cavan SPCA found the three month old kitten lying on the floor at their office on Friday morning.
In a Facebook post Cavan SPCA sadly confirmed that the little kitten had to be put down due the extent of its injuries.
It is believed that the kitten suffered a number of external injuries.
Gardai say they have begun an investigation and they suspect a case of animal cruelty.
