Gardai in Co Waterford have confirmed today that two people are recovering in hospital following a stabbing incident in Dungarvan in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that both a man and a woman are currently receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries at University Hospital Waterford.
Gardaí say they were called to the scene in the Thompson Lane area of town after both victims received stab sounds during an altercation.
They also say one person has been and is currently being detained at Dungarvan Garda Station. An investigation is still ongoing
