Gardaí in North Dublin have confirmed that an investigation is underway after a young boy was injured in a hit and run incident on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Dublin Live, the young boy was injured when a car being driven by joyriders struck him on the Fairlawn estate in Finglas, at approximately 3:50pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The young boy was reportedly taken to hospital for treatment after he sustained leg injuries.
It is believed that the vehicle fled the scene before Gardai arrived.
