Gardaí in North Dublin have launched an investigation following a robbery at bookmakers in Portmarnock.
It is understood the investigation comes after a man armed with a gun threatened staff at a Paddy Power bookmakers on the Strand Road ar approximately 6:30pm on Saturday evening.
Gardaí say although thankfully no one was injured the assailant fled the scene with a quantity of cash.
