Gardaí in Limerick have launched an investigation following a suspected hit and run incident on Saturday night.
It is understood the investigation comes after a man was taken to University Hospital Limerick with head injuries following the incident which occurred on the Quarry Road at approximately 11.30pm.
Gardaí say the car involved in the alleged incident was later found burnt out.
