Gardaí in Drogheda Co Louth have launched an investigation following an armed robbery in the town on Friday.
The investigation comes after two men entered thd shop in the Ballsgrove area of the town at approximately 1:20pm on Friday.
It is believed the men who were armed hammer and a knife threatened staff before fleeing the scene with a small quantity of cash.
Gardaí say thankfully no one was injured in the incident and investigations are currently ongoing.
