Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation following an armed robbery on Sunday evening.
It is understood the investigation comes after two men armed with a meat cleaver threatened staff at Cuddihy’s Daybreak in Ovens at approximately 8pm on Sunday.
Although thankfully no one was injured in the incident, Gardai say the armed thieves managed to make off with a quantity of cash, cigarettes and alcohol.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
