Gardaí in Co Wexford have begun an investigation following a suspected hit and run incident on Tuesday night.
It is understood the investigation comes after a man aged in his 40s was seriously injured following the incident which occurred in Enniscorthy.
Gardaí say the man was struck by a Silver Opel Meriva outside St Senan’s Primary School.
He was later taken to Wexford General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí say a man also aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
