A Garda officer is currently being treated in hospital after shooting himself in the leg.
It is understood the officer was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital following the incident which occurred at a diplomatic residence.
Gardai say the man was preparing to leave the residence in his private car when the incident happened.
They added that an investigation is currently underway.
