Gardai say there will be increased patrols and checkpoints across the country as Level 5 restrictions are introduced.
The increased Garda measures come as people will be once again restricted from visiting people’s homes and travelling further than 5km from their home.
Gardai say checkpoints will be setup in local areas.
Meanwhile there will be increased patrols in public areas such as parks and other recreational areas.
