Garda stations across Ireland are observing a one minute silence to show respect for Garda Colm Horkan who died on Wednesday night following a shooting incident.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, gardai are unable to attend the funeral in Castletown, Co. Mayo and will be represented in person by the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris. The government will be represented by the Justice Minster Charlie Flanagan.
Stations around Ireland will observe the minute’s silence at midday.
