We can all recall the massive Gardai presence at the recent anti-lockdown protest making it’s way to St.Stephen’s Green for a rally where Gardai were deployed in riot gear with Alsatian police dogs ready to attack the protesters.

Social media users are calling out the “selective policing” saying that Gardai were spotted taking selfies with the Columbian protesters.

@DubhLinn76 tweeted:
“So it’s ok for these people to protest in Ireland, with no disruption and reports of Gardaí stopping for selfies but if you are Irish it’s illegal?? Fed up with this blatant discrimination against Irish people in Ireland. Is it not time to say ENOUGH, we are being played ?”
@CatrionaCollins tweeted:
“I have video of a tiny lockdown protest on St Patrick’s Day right there on St. Stephens Green. There was immediate arrests for no reason and names taken. Twtr won’t allow me to post. They have some sort of recognition abilities.”

A tweet from @relative_the said:
“Yeah if they were Tri colours…. different story…. I’d say it’s a socialist thing”
