Many social media users are saying that it’s utterly ridiculous alerting criminals to checkpoints being setup around Waterford for the week.
Nevertheless, that’s exactly what the gardai in the south of the country are busy doing.
According to Gardai, there will be checkpoints at multiple locations across Co. Waterford as part of the ongoing Operation Storm, which targets criminal activity in the county.
Some people are saying that the criminals now know to lie low for the week and go back to the norm the following week.
