Officers from both the Gardai and Revenue and Customs have confirmed that a total of 33.7kgs of herbal cannabis was seized at Dublin Port on Friday.
It is believed the seizure which also involved the assistance of Revenue detector dog Meg, had a worth of an estimated €675,000 in street value.
Gardai say investigations are currently ongoing, but they have revealed the illegal shipment was brought in onboard a ship thar was travelling from Spain.
