Gardaí have reported that one person has been arrested every hour for drink or drug driving since the beginning of December, reports RTE.
These figures were released as part of a renewed appeal to road users to be careful during the Christmas and New Year period.

The Road Safety Authority has estimated that for every fatality, there are ten serious injuries in incidents, reports RTE.
