Gardai appeal for information after 2-year-old boy is injured in a hit and run incident in Co Cork




Gardaí in Co Cork have appealed for witnesses to come forward and contact them after a two-year-old boy was injured following a hit and run incident on Saturday evening.

The appeal for information comes after the toddler was hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries following the incident which occurred at approximately 6pm on Saturday evening.

It is understood the boy was hit by a car on Oliver Plunkett Street in Bandon, Co Cork.

Gardaí say the driver of the car failed to remain at the scene and was seen driving in the direction towards Bandon Fire Station.

They added that the boy was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
