Two men, completely different in stature but similar in achieving world notoriety, albeit for fundamentally different reasons.

President Donald Trump travelled to North Korea to meet with the North Korean leader in an effort to further strengthen a new found respect, if not friendship.

Asked whether Kim would travel to the White House, President Trump told reporters that it will happen.

He said:
“Anytime he wants to do it. I think we want to take this down to the next step, let’s see what happens.”

Mr Kim returned the gesture saying that it would be a great honour if Mr Trump visited the North Korean capital Pyongyang.

Kim Jong-un stated that his wonderful friendship with Mr Trump would help the two long-time enemies to get over obstructions, with their nuclear talks at a stalemate.

The two leaders met for nearly an hour in the heavily fortified demilitarised zone (DMZ).

“I am convinced our relationship will enable us to overcome barriers standing in the way,” said Mr Kim.

President Trump said:
“I was proud to step over that line,” (in DMZ) and looks forward to working with the North Korean leader in the future.
