A man in his 60s has died after being hit by a car last night in Co Cavan.
This happened on the R198 between Coras Point and Cavan Town around 9pm. The man’s body was taken to Cavan General Hospital today for an autopsy.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses in the single-vehicle incident. The R198 road was closed for forensic investigations but will reopen tonight.
