Gardai investigating the murder of Offaly woman Ashling Murphy this week say they have carried out searches in Dublin and Tullamore.
According to RTE, the Gardai are also planning to interview a new person in connection with the murder. They are also going to check and see if there is any link between Ms. Murphy’s murder and the complaint by another woman who says she was followed along the same path where Ms. Murphy was running when she was attacked.
Vigils are continuing throughout the country and are spreading throughout the world as people come together to express their horror at this shocking crime and their support for Ms. Murphy’s family.
