Gardai in Dublin have confirmed they have arrested a man this afternoon after he brandished a gun whilst on-board a Belfast bound train at Connolly Station.
It is understood the man aged in his 20s was arrested after Gardai were alerted to the incident which occurred on the 3.20pm train to Belfast.
Gardai say they successfully managed to arrest the man without any further incident and that he currently being detained at Store Street Garda Station.
The latest incident comes just a week after another man was arrested onboard a train at Tara Street Station for brandishing a pellet gun.
