Gardai in Dublin have arrested a man after a man aged in his 70s was hospitalised following a stabbing incident on Wednesday.
It is understood that the elderly man sustained injuries to his leg following the incident which occurred on the River Road, in Ashtown.
Gardai say a man was arrested a short time later and was taken to Cabra Garda Station.
He has since been charged in connection with the incident.
