Gardaí in Co Cork have arrested a man aged in his 30s after he tried to set Togher Garda Station on fire in the early hours of this morning.

It is understood the arrest comes after Gardai were alerted to the incident at 1:50am.
Gardaí say the man entered the building with an aerosol can and a lighter and attempted to start a fire.
The man who was arrested at the scene is currently being detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí say investigations are currently ongoing.
