Gardaí in South Dublin have arrested a man aged in his 30s following an assault in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the man was arrested after another man also aged in his 30s was assaulted on the Corrib road in Terenure shortly after 12am.
Gardaí say the man suffered serious facial injuries in the attack and was taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment.
They do say however that the man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The arrested man is currently being detained at Terenure Garda Station.
