Gardai have confirmed that a man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the murder of two men in Co Meath over the summer.
The unidentified man was arrested yesterday and is being currently held in Garda custody. The bodies of the two men identified as Eoin O’Connor and Anthony Keegan, both from Dublin, were discovered last May on an island in Lough Sheelin in the county.
The two men were reported missing and it is believed that they were last seen on 22th April in Co Cavan.
Gardai say they arrested the man in the Meath area and is being questioned at Kells Garda station.
