Gardai arrest thug (20s) who punched two defenceless women and stole one of their handbags in Dundalk




A man in his 20s has been arrested by Gardaí following a robbery and attempted robbery in Dundalk, County Louth on Sunday, October 15th, reports Breaking News.

At 2pm on Sunday afternoon, a woman in her 70s was approached by a man on Bachelors Walk in Dundalk. The man assaulted her, knocked her to the ground, and attempted to steal her handbag.

However, he fled the scene on foot without taking anything.

Half an hour later, at 2.30pm, another woman in her 60s was approached by a man on Williamson Place in Dundalk.

The man pushed her to the ground and stole her handbag. He then fled the scene on foot with the stolen property.

Gardaí were alerted to the incidents and arrested a man in his 20s shortly after. He is currently being held at a Garda station in County Louth, reports Breaking News.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have witnessed these incidents to come forward with any information they may have.
