Two men have been arrested in Dublin and the Midlands after Gardai received information that they were making arrangements to travel to Syria.
One of the men is Irish and the other is of Eastern European origin. They were arrested under the provisions of the 2005 Criminal Justice Terrorist Offences Act.
Both men deny that they were had any intentions of engaging in terrorist acts.
