Gardai attended the scene of a violent incident in the south of the country this afternoon.
It is understood that a man sustained serious stabbing injuries during an altercation between two men in Magazine Road in Cork City today.
The victim was rushed to Cork University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
A man has been arrested in connection with this incident.
