Gardai can be called if people try to board public transport with face masks from Monday

Gardai can actually be called to public transport vehicles if members of the public try to board without wearing a face mask.

Face masks will become mandatory on Irish public transport from Monday. A new set of regulations have been put in place to enable enforcement.

Covid-19 has killed 1,744 people in Ireland so far and this measure is reportedly to try and stop a spread in public.
