Gardaí have revealed that they have caught 490 people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs over the last month.
According to figures there has been an 80% increase in people driving under the influence since March 28th.
Gardaí say the rise in cases has come as there are more checkpoints across the country since the Covid-19 outbreak.
