Gardai close road following three-car crash in County Wexford

Emergency services attended at the scene of a three-car collision near the entrance to Johnstown Castle in Murrintown, Wexford on Thursday morning, reports the Irish Independent.

Several fire engines, ambulances and Garda cars rushed to the scene and closed the road from the Rathspeck roundabout to Murrintown.

Thankfully, no people involved sustained life-threatening injuries, although one person was removed from the scene by ambulance.

As Wexford General Hospital’s emergency room was not yet functioning, he was taken straight to University Hospital Waterford, reports the Independent.  The other passengers  were shaken, but okay.

The Gardai remained in place and motorists are advised to stay away from the area for a short time until the road is completely cleared, reports Independent.
