Gardai criticised after launching “man hunt” for men targeting young school girls in Dublin with no descriptions released by Gardai

Drumcondra in North Dublin has been the subject of suspicious activity this week when two separate incidents involving men acting suspiciously in the area reports DublinLive.

The first incident allegedly involved a teenage girl who says she was followed by a mysterious figure on her way to school on Monday morning. The school girl made the decision to go to a friends house instead of going to her school as she was afraid she was being followed. No description has been released of the alleged man.

In a separate incident in Drumcondra, a man was spotted allegedly targeting a primary school girl who was accompanied by her aunt at the time. The child’s aunt thought it was serious enough to make a report to the Gardai.

A Garda spokesman said: “We received a report of an alleged incident in the Drumcondra area on March 22.

No descriptions of the alleged stalkers were released by Gardai. Many are asking given the seriousness of the allegations why descriptions have not been released for child protection in the general area of north county Dublin.
