Gardai have declared today a ‘Slow Down Day’ following a spike in road deaths over the past few weeks.
The event, which began at 7am, will remain in effect for 24h.
There has been no mention of actually fixing roads or do anything to improve the infrastructure, however, Gardai are simply asking people to drive slower for the day and hope for the best.
