Gardaí in Cork have issued an appeal for information after a man aged in his 40s was stabbed in the city.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man who was sitting in a car with a young child was approached by a man and attacked on North Main Street at approximately 11:45am on Tuesday morning.
Although the man’s injuries are not life-threatening, Gardai say he is still currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Gardaí say the attacker was seen running in the direction of Adelaide Street following the incident and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward and contact them.
