Gardaí in Cork launch investigation into an incident that saw a baby being left alone in a car in extremely high temperatures




Gardaí have confirmed they have launched an investigation regarding an incident that saw a baby being left alone in a car, in extremely high temperatures in Cork.

The investigation is underway after Gardaí was made aware of a video having that was uploaded online earlier this week. It is understood the shocking incident occurred in the Market Green Shopping Centre in Midleton, Cork, on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident came to light after passer- spotted the innocent child inside he car alone, with reporters stating that temperatures hit 20 degrees Celsius on that particular afternoon. The news of the scandalous case of neglect the became viral news after a 19-second clip, was uploaded to social media showing the child playing with a mobile dangling over the car seat.

It is thought the you g child was left alone in the car for 20 minutes. Gardaí now say they are treating the case as a serious matter and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
