Gardaí in Greystones Co Wicklow are understood to be investigating reports of an alleged abduction attempt in the town.
Members of the gardai say they are investigating allegations that an approach was made to a child at about 8.40am this morning in the Kenmare Heights area of the town. No arrests have been made.
