Gardai investigating the theft of three valuable paintings stolen from a house in Co Wicklow

Gardai are investigating the theft of three valuable paintings, by Jack B Yeats, John Lavery and Paul Henry,from a house in Co Wicklow.

Baltinglass Gardai are appealing for the public’s assistance in relation to the burglary, which occurred at a house in Donard, Co Wicklow last Wednesday. 
 
Gardai have also given a description of the paintings stolen from the house: Portrait of a Lady, by John Lavery, measuring about 65cm x 30cm; Landscape with Cottage, by Paul Henry, measuring about 40cm x 50cm; and The Fern in the Area by Jack B Yeats, which is approximately 40cm x 50cm.

It is understood that the three stolen paintings could be worth between €150,000 and €200,000.

Gardai are asking anyone who can assist with the investigation or who may have come into contact with the paintings to contact Baltinglass Garda Station on 059-6482610, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
