A family of Rush are living in a nightmare as a gang of teenage thugs terrorises them and Gardai appear utterly powerless to take any action.
Since November, there have been nine major incidents in which the gang of thugs have targeted the family, who have a one year old baby.
Gardai have released a public statement saying:
“We wish to highlight a major problem we have been having with antisocial behaviour over the last two months. We have had groups of youths/teenagers terrorising a young family living in a house along with numerous acts of vandalism.
“It is disheartening to know that a small minority, whom we know are from Rush, think it appropriate to act in this manner and to continue terrorising a young family during these dark nights.
“We are appealing to the local community to help us prevent further antisocial behaviour by calling 999 to report any suspicious activity which involves youths/teenagers trespassing.
“Your help in this matter is very much appreciated.”
Dublin Live reported that a source close to the family has said that these attacks are completely “unprovoked”.
Dublin Live reported the source as saying:
“Recently they attacked the house for the ninth instance – and the fourth reported to Gardai.
“It started at the end of November, completely for no reason other than it’s a secluded home and an easy target.
