HSE boss Paul Reid, who’s on €350,000 a year, begs people to stay at home

The CEO of the HSE Paul Reid was interviewed on Friday night’s Late Late Show with dire numbers and stats.

Reid said that the country now only has 25 free ICU beds left out of 286. He says they’re going to try and raise that number to over 300.

The HSE boss, who’s on a salary of €350,000 per annum, begged people to stay at home and, for example, to meet 2 people instead of 3.

Host Ryan Tubridy, who himself is on €495,000 per annum, agreed with Reid throughout.

Many people on social media were annoyed at two highly paid men, who haven’t been docked in pay since the pandemic began, were telling the nation what to do.
