Gardai have issued a warning about increasing amounts of counterfeit money in circulation around Ireland.
It is understood that several searches in recent days have yielded a substantial amount of fake Euro notes.
Business owners and shop staff are being urged to be careful, particularly if someone attempts to pay for a small purchase with a €50 note.
