Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed they have launched an investigation after a man aged in his 30s was stabbed in the Christchurch area of the city on Sunday night.
It is understood the man was stabbed when he was standing outside a chip shop on Werburgh Street at approximately 9pm on Sunday night.
Although it is not yet known what condition the man is in, Gardaí say that an investigation is currently ongoing and as of yet no arrests have been made.
