Gardai have launched an investigation after a cyclist sustained serious injuries during a road crash in an Irish county.
The accident happened in the Powers Cross area near Ballyshrule, Portumna, Co. Galway, shortly after 6am today.
The victim, a male in his 50s, was taken to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries.
