Gardai have launched an investigation after a 17-year-old male sustained serious injuries during a stabbing incident in Limerick city early on Thursday morning.
The attack took place in the Gouldavoher estate area of Dooradoyle in the city.
Gardai believe that the attack may be linked to a long-running feud between two opposing factions in Limerick, which began after the fatal stabbing of teenager Jamie Higgins outside a nightclub in the city last year.
